Dental Restoration in Fredericton

Dental restorations are how we restore the look and function of your teeth when they’re damaged. Damage can be caused by decay or injury, and if it isn’t treated, it can lead to infections in the tooth or in your gums. Modern restorations can be coloured to match your smile almost perfectly.

Fillings

If you’ve got a cavity in one of your teeth, you’ll need a filling. We place metal amalgam or tooth-coloured fillings, depending on your individual needs. Once the tooth is filled it will be safe from decay.

Crowns

We use crowns to restore teeth that can’t be restored any other way. The crown covers the whole tooth, and we use them for teeth that are badly damaged, misshapen, or so decayed that they can’t be restored with a filling. Crowns are coloured to match the rest of your teeth.

Inlays & Onlays

Inlays and onlays are similar to fillings but they’re made in a dental lab and cemented into your tooth. We use them if a tooth needs to be restored but it doesn’t need a crown. Onlays are special inlays that restore the biting parts of the tooth.

Bridges

A bridge is one of your options if you need a replacement tooth. The bridge is an artificial tooth that is held in place by attachments to the teeth on either side of the gap left by the missing tooth. (this is where they get their name) Bridges not only restore your smile, but they keep your teeth from drifting out of position.
